Sapper- a millitary engineer who lays or detects and disarms mines. Sappers where first founded in the 7th century by the Assyrian army, who would excavate trenches under enemy fire to advance toward the enemy.

Alpha compnay Soldier perform various Enegineer tasks to include hasty cratering, breaching and marking a lane (obstacle or minefield) Room clearing operations. We also conducted non engineer task to include call for fire, land navigation, and team building excercises. Alpha company junior NCO's were given the chance to take command and lead there fellow soldiers into missions.

Alpha Company soldiers are running a significant amount of battle drills today as they prepare the EQA range this upcoming week. Breaching a mine field and clearing a mine field are going to be the main mission of Alpha Company this upcoming week.
