🦟 Protect Glenn Heights: Stop Mosquitoes at the Source!

Mosquitoes are more than just an annual nuisance—they can spread serious illnesses like West Nile Virus. Protecting our community starts right in our own backyards, and it only takes a few simple, daily habits to make a massive difference. Let's work together to eliminate breeding grounds, protect our families, and keep our neighborhoods safe this season.

The most effective way to fight back is to stop mosquito breeding before it even starts. Take a few minutes to walk around your property and eliminate any standing water, as mosquitoes can lay eggs in even the smallest puddles. Be sure to empty containers like buckets, toys, flower pots, and pet bowls at least once a week, and keep your gutters clean so rainwater can drain freely. For water sources that can't be easily drained, you can request or use Mosquito Dunks®, which contain a natural bacteria that safely kills mosquito larvae. Finally, keep the insects outside by repairing any damaged window or door screens, and always wear EPA-approved repellent when spending time outdoors, especially during dawn and dusk.

I am incredibly excited to spearhead The "Shield of Protection" Interfaith FWC26 Prayer Vigil, and I am calling on our community to turn out and lead the way as we lift up North Texas ahead of the global matches.
As the world arrives, our workforce will have physical security in one hand—but we must provide them with complete spiritual coverage in the other.
Join us as we stand on the frontline of prayer to completely cover the dedicated first responders, law enforcement teams, tournament volunteers, and stadium staff sacrificing their time in the summer heat, alongside our international visitors and DFW citizens. Will you please make time to join us!
