I am SO excited to announce a community partnership with the Found A Way Foundation and Atmos Energy to bring a Mini Utility Blitz right here to the City of Glenn Heights!

🔥 Eligible senior residents can receive assistance with their Atmos Energy utility bill at NO COST to them.

And before my Ellis County seniors start giving me the side-eye ... 😂 I hear you! We will keep working to see what opportunities we can identify for you as well. But for right now, this Mini Utility Blitz is for our Dallas County residents only.

We honor the first responders who ran toward danger, the everyday heroes who stepped forward to help, and the families whose lives were forever changed.

At the September 1, 2026, City Council Meeting, the City of Glenn Heights presented a proclamation to Austin T. Kelley in recognition of his more than 15 years of dedicated service on the Planning and Zoning Commission. Since November 2010, Mr. Kelley had played a vital role in helping guide the City's growth and development through his commitment to responsible planning, thoughtful decision-making, and public service. ​

Throughout his tenure, Mr. Kelley provided valuable leadership and served with distinction as Chairperson of the Planning and Zoning Commission. His professionalism, fairness, and sound judgment helped shape discussions on development proposals, zoning matters, and long-term planning initiatives that contributed to the future of the community.

The City Council expressed its sincere appreciation for Mr. Kelley's years of volunteer service, dedication, and commitment to improving the quality of life for Glenn Heights residents. We thank him for his many contributions and wish him continued success and happiness in all his future endeavors.

• No water waste through runoff, or through missing, misaligned or broken sprinkler heads.

I-35E Traffic Shifts in Red Oak Beginning September 11 🚧

Drivers traveling on I-35E between Bear Creek Road and Red Oak Road should expect lane closures, traffic shifts, and delays as construction continues on the FM 664 interchange project.

Sept. 11-12 - Southbound I-35E narrowed to one lane. Northbound traffic shifted to frontage road.

Sept. 12-13 - Northbound I-35E narrowed to one lane. Southbound traffic shifted to frontage road.
