Please join Councilwoman Washington in Dallas today to pray for our nation.

If you can't be there in person, take a moment of silence at noon 🙏🏼

Good evening, Glenn Heights constituents and friends!

I know this is a late-hour announcement, but a truly miraculous effort has unfolded behind the scenes to bring this event together. Tomorrow, Wednesday, June 10, 2026, from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM, we are hosting a historic gathering, and you are invited.
As your Councilwoman for the City of Glenn Heights, I have proudly collaborated with Councilman Gracey from the City of Dallas to host the United in Prayer / Shield of Protection Multi-Faith Workforce Blessing.
This is a powerful prayer gathering of people from all walks of life coming together to pray over the entire Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex. Our focus is uplifting and supporting the incredible workforce behind the FIFA World Cup sports events, which are primarily kicking off this week. I am deeply honored to have helped spearhead and organize this event in just eight short days, purely for the purpose of covering our cities in prayer, and I am profoundly grateful to everyone who agreed to step up and participate.
If you can join us in person, you are warmly welcome to come and pray alongside us.
If you cannot make it in person, I humbly ask you to do two things to be there with us in spirit:
1. Pray with us at the same hour: Anytime between 12:00 PM and 1:00 PM tomorrow, take a moment to lift up your city and the thousands of laborers who will be working tirelessly. This includes our dedicated police officers, fire departments, security personnel, and service industry workers who will be spending countless hours ensuring the safety and success of these games while managing hundreds of thousands of visitors.
2. Send prayers of encouragement and protection: Keep the well-being, stamina, and safety of this massive World Cup workforce in your hearts and minds, and pray that our gathering tomorrow successfully achieves its mission.
Whether you are there with us in person or joining us in spirit, let’s stand together to support the workforce that will sustain our region during this monumental event.
Be blessed, and thank you for your continuous support!
