The National Weather Service in Lake Charles has issued a Red Flag Warning for strong north winds, and very low relative humidity which is in effect from 11 AM to 7 PM Today.

* TIMING...For the Red Flag Warning, from 11 AM to 7 PM CDT today.

* WINDS...Northeast 10 to 15 mph with gusts up to 25 mph.

* RELATIVE HUMIDITY...As low as 20 percent.

* TEMPERATURES...Up to 82.

* IMPACTS...Any fire that develops will catch and spread quickly. Don’t do any outdoor burning.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Red Flag Warning means that critical fire weather conditions are either occurring now, or will shortly. A combination of strong winds, low relative humidity, and warm temperatures can contribute to extreme fire behavior.
