Yesterday, the Glen Moore Fire Company was dispatched to assist the Ludwig’s Corner Fire Company with a residential structure fire.

Chief 48 arrived first on scene and confirmed a working fire, upgrading the incident to a working fire dispatch. Engine 48-2 arrived shortly after and assumed the First Due Engine assignment. The crew laid a supply line to the scene, deployed a handline, and initiated fire suppression operations.

Firefighters located the main body of fire in the attic and conducted extensive overhaul operations, opening up the ceiling to fully access and extinguish hidden fire. Engine 48-5 arrived and supplied Engine 48-2 for the duration of the incident.
The fire was placed under control in approximately 30 minutes.

Crews remained on scene for nearly three hours completing overhaul and ensuring there was no further extension before clearing the incident.
