This is PART 2 of our chat!
"3 places around town you like to poke your head into?” Classic Coffee to meet friends and walk downtown (love their chai and matcha — my kids love their frozen hot chocolate). Plaza Produce is my lunch break go-to for a cheap, filling sandwich (you can find a good chunk of the school district staff there sometime during the week for lunch). Glendora Gardens Nursery to plant shop.

“If you could in put one new business...?” I want to see the giant dirt space next to Louie Pompei Sports Park put to a creative outdoor use, like a Pump Track, Ultimate Frisbee course, race car course, hammock grove. Please come to Glendora: H-Mart, Mendocino Farms, Din Tai Fung, Teddy’s Red Tacos! A kid’s birthday multiuse party space would thrive in Glendora, putting it out there for someone to steal my business idea. I take my kids to so many birthday party places in our neighboring cities. Glendora needs one!

“What has been the most fun age to raise a child in Glendora?” Absolutely elementary age (5-11). I’m clearly feeling nostalgic since I grew up here and now raising my kids here. But a childhood spent in Glendora is magical. A spring day hiking in Big Dalton, racing leaf boats in the creek. Summers at Dirt Camp, then signing in at the library’s summer reading program and checking out books. Fall soccer at Pompei, walking along the urban walking trail for ice cream at Handel’s. And I love experiencing the local winter holiday traditions with my kids, like the tree lighting, carriage rides downtown, “Christmas Is” performance at Citrus College.

“Toilet papering: are you pro or against?” As a frequent victim, it’s (mostly) all in good fun. And we always know who did it, thanks to doorbell cameras. Also a clear age difference: if it's paper toweling our bushes in the middle of the day (I'm not even kidding), it's the elementary kids...if it's copious amounts of toilet paper in the trees in the middle of the night, it's the high schoolers. There is no anonymous TP’ing in 2026. However I'm currently in the "against" camp because there is still toilet paper in my treetops! That's another business I need in Glendora, someone to clean TP from trees.
