We are aware of a few local controlled burns taking place in the Glendo area. Please remember that we are currently under a fire ban.

Only burns that have been approved by the Fire Warden are permitted at this time.

If you see smoke and are unsure whether it is an approved burn, do not hesitate to report it to Platte County Dispatch so it can be verified.

Let’s continue working together to keep Platte County safe. 🔥🚒

Thank you State Parks!

Thank you State Parks!

Thank You First Responders!
On 9/11 all firefighters, EMS, law enforcement, and paramedics will have free day-use access to all of our parks and sites.

“Wyoming State Parks has a deep appreciation for our first responders,” said Stephanie Dillmon, Concessions and Revenue manager of Wyoming State Parks. “Offering free entrance on Patriot Day is just one way that we can say thank you. And this time of year, we especially want to extend our thanks to the wildland firefighters who are out there working to protect lives and resources.”

The Hot Springs State Park Bath House will extend its hours exclusively for first responders from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 11. This offers law enforcement officers, firefighters, paramedics, and emergency medical technicians (EMTs) the opportunity to relax and enjoy the natural hot springs together in appreciation of their service.
