On Aug. 3, 2026, the Glendale Board of Aldermen adopted an official Traffic Calming Policy, which was developed over the course of several months with input from the Traffic Safety Committee.

Traffic calming refers to physical measures that are installed on streets to reduce vehicle speeds and discourage cut-through traffic. This includes things like such as speed humps, traffic circles, curb extensions, and raised crosswalks. Cities throughout our region have embraced traffic calming as an additional strategy to produce a greater impact than enforcement alone.

The Traffic Calming Policy establishes a process for residents and business owners in Glendale to request traffic calming measures for specific street segments. Fast drivers on your street? Let us know by filling out a Traffic Calming Request Form and make your neighborhood safer! Forms are available at https://tinyurl.com/5n7zfb5z

Calling all North Glendale families! Time is running out to order a brick!

Order your personalized, engraved brick to celebrate the years your family spent as part of the North Glendale community. These bricks will be installed on NG property in Winter 2026. Whether your student is still at NG, graduated long ago, or you're a proud grandparent of the superstar, let's celebrate those memories your family made!

Place your order here:
https://donate.brickmarkers.com/nge

We recommend ordering on a computer rather than your phone. After paying via PayPal, please return to the Brickmarkers site to complete your order so your brick is secured! Orders due September 27.

- Commemorate your family's time at NG
- Recognize a favorite teacher or staff member who made a difference
- Celebrate someone who helped shape who you are today
- Honor your family's connection to North Glendale

On this September 11, we pause to observe the lives lost 25 years ago and the families, friends, and communities changed by the events of that day. We honor their memory, the courage shown and the lives touched. Today, we stand together in remembrance.
