Annual Camp Staff Reunion Event for Verdugo Hills Council
One of the things that makes a council strong is the summer camping programs it provides for its Scouts!

Verdugo Hills Council has a great tradition of successful summer camp programs...And of having a dedicated Camp Staff who have made that possible through the years!
--- Have you worked at our Cub Day Camp, Cub Resident Camp, or any Scouts BSA summer camping program of the Verdugo Hills Council?
--- Perhaps you worked at a Verdugo Hills Council camp that is no longer in operation?
--- Perhaps you worked at a Scouting America summer camp in a different council?

Volunteer Spotlight Tuesday
Every Tuesday, we’re proud to highlight one of the incredible volunteers who make Scouting possible across Verdugo Hills Council. Our volunteers dedicate their time, energy, and passion to guiding Scouts, leading adventures, and helping young people grow into confident leaders.

This award was presented at our 2026 Recognition Event and we are proud to share you the honoree introduction!

"The 2025 Most Valuable Scouter Award goes to Joseph Johnson, a dependable leader with Troop 288B.
When Joseph stepped into the Treasurer role, there was a lot to catch up on. He quickly organized financial systems, streamlined processes, and made every treasurer-related function reliable and efficient. Beyond finances, he expanded his service as an Assistant Scoutmaster, providing additional leadership and stability. His dedication strengthened the troop at every level. The Troop is incredibly grateful for Joseph’s willingness to step up when he was needed most and for the steady, dependable leadership he continues to provide. 288B is stronger because of his commitment and service."
