Join us for G.A.I.N. (Getting Arizona Involved in Neighborhoods) on Saturday, October 17th, 2026! This annual celebration highlights the power of community involvement in crime prevention. We invite neighborhood watch groups, apartment communities, mobile home parks, HOAs, and all interested Glendale residents to host your own event in honor of G.A.I.N. Night!

Please join us in congratulating Forensic Supervisor Lilianna Pologa and Sergeant Michael Smith on their recent promotions!

Lilianna started with GPD 5 years ago as a Forensic Scientist. She is most excited to protect the unit’s accreditation status, provide excellent service, lead with integrity, and spread kindness and positivity in everything she does. She says, “I hope to provide my team with opportunities to see reflections of themselves in the way I lead so they can aspire to become future leaders themselves. I am excited to lead in the way I have always dreamed of. “

Sergeant Smith came to Glendale from Salt Lake City and has been with GPD for 4 years. He has most recently served as a full-time Field Training Officer. He is excited about the opportunity to lead, support, and mentor officers while helping them grow professionally.

Happy National Police K9 Day! 🐾🚔
Today we're celebrating the incredible K9s who serve alongside our officers every day. Sniffing out danger, tracking down suspects, and keeping our community safe in ways no human partner could. We're also giving a well-deserved shoutout to one of our service dogs, whose quieter but equally important work supports our department in a different way.
These partnerships are built on years of training, trust, and teamwork between handler and dog. Take a look at some of our K9 team in the video below, and join us in thanking them for their service.

**MISSING JUVENILE**
GPD is seeking your help to find missing juvenile Isaiah Fernandez. Isaiah was last seen at around 7:10 AM on Thursday 08/27/2026, where he was dropped off by group home staff at his high school near the area of 5900 W Sweetwater Ave. He is 15 years old, 5’06” tall, and weighs approximately 135 pounds. He has black hair and hazel eyes, and he was last seen wearing a black t-shirt. Please call GPD with any information at 623–930–3000.
