🛍️ Donation Request – Hutchinson Location 🛍️

The McLeod Food Shelf is currently in need of bags for our shoppers at our Hutchinson location.

As we continue to serve a growing number of individuals and families each week, our supply of bags has become very low. We are looking for donations of clean plastic grocery bags, paper grocery bags with handles, and reusable shopping bags. These bags help our clients safely and conveniently transport food home.

If you have an abundance of bags at home, please consider donating them to the McLeod Food Shelf. Even a small donation can make a big difference and help us continue providing quality service to our community.

Donations can be dropped off during regular business hours at our Hutchinson location.

Thank you for your continued support and for helping us serve our neighbors facing food insecurity. Your generosity helps ensure that every shopper leaves with both the food they need and a way to carry it home. ❤️

We are grateful to partner with Meeker McLeod Sibley Public Health Services to help bring important diabetes awareness and prevention resources to our community. Their informational table is now set up at our Glencoe location and will be available for visitors to explore over the next two weeks.
The display includes helpful information on diabetes risk factors, prevention strategies, blood sugar awareness, and community health resources available to individuals and families. Materials are offered in both English and Spanish to better serve our diverse community.

Thank you to Meeker McLeod Sibley Community Health Services for helping educate and empower our neighbors through accessible public health outreach. Be sure to stop by, take a look, and pick up some helpful resources during your next visit to the food shelf!

We're thankful to all the community members who donated during Round up at the Register last November at our Glencoe Coborns location. Your contributions have made a significant difference, and the $4,400 received will go a long way in purchasing food for our neighbors who are struggling to put meals on the table, ultimately filling cupboards and plates for those in need.

Today, we are incredibly grateful for the generosity and compassion shown by the Glencoe community during this years Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive. Together, our city raised an amazing 629 pounds of food to help support neighbors and families facing food insecurity right here in our community.

This annual effort is a powerful reminder of what can happen when a community comes together with kindness and purpose. Every bag donated represents hope, dignity, and support for someone who may be struggling.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to our local postal workers, volunteers, donors, and every resident who took the time to give. Your generosity makes a real and lasting impact at the McLeod Food Shelf and throughout our community.

Glencoe continues to show what it means to care for one another, and we are proud to be part of such an extraordinary community. Thank you for helping us Stamp Out Hunger-one donation at a time.

Update for Stamping out Hunger!

Unfortunately, the bags for this year’s “Stamp Out Hunger” food drive did not arrive at the post office in time for this Saturday’s event. But thanks to the incredible spirit of our community, this drive is still moving forward strong!

A HUGE thank you to our local Coborn’s for stepping in with a generous donation of 1,600 bags to help keep this important food drive on track. We are beyond grateful for their support and commitment to helping fight hunger in our community.

We also want to recognize our amazing local postal workers for reaching out right away when the issue arose so solutions could be found quickly. Because of that communication, our community was able to come together and create answers.

This is exactly why we are so thankful to call Glencoe, Minnesota home. Residents, businesses, organizations, churches, volunteers, and community partners continually show up for one another. Together, we are making sure neighbors facing food insecurity know they are supported and cared for.

Thank you, Glencoe, for proving once again what can happen when a community comes together to fight hunger. ❤️

Residents of Glencoe-

We need your HELP!!

Our local postal workers have not yet received their bags for the upcoming “Stamping Out Hunger” happening this Saturday, May 9th 2026

We need your donations to be pre-bagged for your postal workers to pickup! Plastic bags are preferred but any bags will do!

We are so excited to see how many pounds YOU provide for your neighbors in need this weekend!

We are so grateful to have so many years of your support keeping cupboards and plates full in our community. Your donation is more than a can or box of food, it’s a light in a dark moment for those we serve. It’s knowing your community is behind you when life takes an unexpected turn.

We are always so proud and amazed by our community and the ways YOU show up for our cause. We can’t wait to see what you’ll come up with next!
