Fishing tournament: You will be able to fish anywhere. You will have to take a live photo with the time stamp on it. We will meet at the park at 10am. Sign forms/pay fees. And then you will be free to go fish. We will meet back at the park at 12:30pm. We are doing biggest fish reward.

The Payne County Task Force was deployed to Woodward County to assist the Moreland Fire Department on the Burnt Canyon Fire.

The task force consisted of Glencoe Fire Department, Stillwater Fire Department, Yale Fire Department, Ripley Fire Department, Perkins Fire Department , Cushing Fire Department, and Payne County Emergency Management.

Once we arrived on scene we were assigned to conduct back burn operations for fire containment on the southwest region of the fire. Assisting in the back burn was Lincoln County Task Force, and the Oklahoma Forestry Service.

Once completed we were reassigned to the southeast region for fire containment. At approximately 5:00 pm we were released by command and started the journey home.

A special thank you to everyone who participated in this mutual-aid response and to all of the agencies that worked diligently to contain this fire.

We are always ready to go give a helping hand to our neighbors and appreciate the citizens of Payne County who support the fire departments. Because of you we can provide aid and protect the citizens of not only our county but many others.
