Attention Glencoe 5th Graders:

Kick off the school year at GJHP's 5th Grade Hang Out, next Friday, September 18, after school on the Central School Field.

This party is exclusively for Glencoe 5th graders and features games, raffle prizes, pizza and music by DJ Bizar!

Tickets are $25 in advance at gjhp.org/5th-grade ($30 at the door).

The PTO’s FOURTH Annual Glencoe Kids Carnival is looking for middle school volunteers to help run carnival games 🎯 hand out prizes 🏆 and keep the fun going all night long!

📅 Friday, May 29
⏰ Choose a shift:
⭐ 5:00–6:30pm
⭐ 6:30–8:00pm

🍕 Every volunteer gets:
✔️ A volunteer lanyard
✔️ Pizza & water
✔️ An info session before the event so you’ll know exactly what to do!

🎡 The carnival will feature:
🎢 Inflatables & giant slides
🎈 Balloon animals
🫧 Bubble show
🚒 Touch-a-Truck

As Mean Girls comes to a close we need to thank the many GJHP alums from New Trier High School who returned to help with this production. From auditions to the final bow, they worked tirelessly to make FETCH (and GROOL!) happen!

We are so grateful that so many amazing high schoolers are willing to take time from their busy schedules to support the next generation of GJHP cast and crew. We couldn't do it without them. The GJHP community is the best!

And a special thank you to our graduating seniors Belle (Stage Manager) and Indigo (Costume Apprentice). We will miss you but can't wait to see what the future holds!

We conclude our Spotlights with 6th Grader Georgia who pumps up the volume at our Sound Board.

Georgia thinks you should come see Mean Girls "to experience the mix of drama and humor expressed perfectly on stage." Her favorite moment? Karen singing about Halloween (Bob likes that one too! 💀)

Georgia's favorite GJHP memory is watching the confetti go off during Newsies - a GJHP tradition that she now gets to be part of!

Her favorite Millennial movie is The Parent Trap - just please skip the platform flip flops.

Next up is Asher, who keeps everything running smoothly behind the scenes as the leader of our Stage Right run crew! Asher makes an impressive GJHP debut, bringing focus and serious backstage skills (just ask about Bob 💀).

Asher thinks you should come see Mean Girls because “the cast and crew are amazing, and it is such a fun show!” His favorite moment is “Do This Thing!”

One of Asher's favorite things about GJHP is that “everyone is so nice!” — and that positive energy shows in everything he does. His favorite millennial movie is Anchorman, so you know he appreciates great comedy.

We cannot conclude our run of Mean Girls without highlighting our Stage Crew, starting with 8th Grader Ava on spotlight. Ava returns to GJHP after hitting the mark as a spot op (and designer!) for Spelling Bee last fall — and we’re so glad she’s back lighting up the stage!

Ava thinks you should come see Mean Girls because “it looks so good and it’s amazing!” — and honestly, she would know (she has the best view in the house!). Her favorite moment in the show is the powerful anthem “I’d Rather Be Me."

Ava’s favorite millennial movie is Scream — keeping things a little spooky offstage! (Luckily we get to celebrate Halloween at every performance!).
