Take a step back in time as you enter The Glen Venue down a canopied country lane. The Mathis House built in 1915 on the property of Glen St. offers a woodsy, vintage and a simple backdrop to any event.

Today, we announce the closing of the private events sector of The Glen Venue effective May 1, 2024. We extend our deepest gratitude to all the couples, families, and vendors who have been part of our journey. Thank you for letting us be the backdrop to your love stories. We cherish the memories made and the vows exchanged at our venue over the years.

We cannot wait to celebrate with our remaining couples this spring, you fill our hearts with joy and allow the closing of this chapter to remain sweet and satisfying!

Our Story

Take a step back in time as you enter The Glen down a canopied country lane. Charming and serene, the two separate venues upon the property offer elegant, vintage and simple backdrops to any event. The Mathis House and Linwood Home each have their own vintage personalities to suit your style. The Linwood Home was built by Mr. George Taber for his bride in 1882 when he came to Florida and started the Glen Saint Mary Nursery. The home is still lived in by the Taber family who graciously allow its use for romantic weddings and events. In November 2003, the homes on the Glen St. Mary Nursery were added to the National Historic Register and listed as a Historic District.
