On Tuesday evening at approximately 10:30hrs Company 59 was dispatched along with mutual aid companies to 14000 Elam drive in Concord Township for a residential building fire. Engine 592 arrived as the first due engine and located a working fire in a ground floor apartment. The crew of Engine 592 secured their own water and went in service with a 1.75” attack line to extinguish the fire. NCC Ladder 25 arrived as the first due truck co and performed primary searches in the apartment on fire. Chief 59 held the Elam Drive Command! The fire was placed under control at 22:54hrs.

Thankfully the apartment complex is outfitted with fire sprinklers, and they assisted with fire suppression and without them the fire could’ve been much worse.

The Concordville Fire and Protective Association sadly announces the passing of Aubrey Manley. Aubrey was a Life Member of the Concordville Fire & Protective Association, joining June 1959 and served for more than 65 years. Aubrey served a Assistant Chief, Deputy Chief and Fire Chief at Concordville. Aubrey was a Delaware County Fire Board dispatcher from the time of inception of the Fire Board until retiring as a supervisor. Aubrey passed away peacefully at home on Saturday August 29, 2026. Visitation will be at Pagano Funeral Home 3711 Foulk Rd on Thursday September 3, 2026, at 10:00AM with services following at 11:00AM Interment will be at Edgewood Cemetery
