Today, the Glen Ellyn Park District remembers those who lost their lives or were injured on September 11, 2001, as well as their families and the countless heroes who responded without hesitation that day.

The public is invited to join the Glen Ellyn Volunteer Fire Company for a brief memorial service to commemorate those affected by the 9/11 tragedy. The service will be held at Fire Station 61, located at the corner of Main Street and Pennsylvania Avenue, at approximately 7:07 pm.

On your mark…get set…glow! 🌟 Join us for the 2K Glow Run/Walk, a 1.25-mile race featuring light-up color stations along the way! New this year, the 2K is teaming up with Glow in the Park and will kick off at Lake Ellyn Park right after the lantern walk. Glow sticks and a t-shirt are included with your registration!

The countdown is on! Support a great cause and get creative at the Glow in the Park Lantern Walk on Friday, September 11, from 5 to 9 pm at Lake Ellyn Park! Bring the whole family for an unforgettable evening supporting the NICU at Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital.

WHAT TO EXPECT:
🎶 Live music by Mickey O’Brien and Friends
🎨 Face painting and inflatables
✨ Glow fitness activities
🦸 Costumed characters
💖 Lantern decorating ($15, while supplies last)
🌭 Heavenly Hot Dogs available for purchase

🏮 7:20 pm: Lantern walk around Lake Ellyn
🏃 7:45 pm: 2K Glow Run/Walk

ADMISSION:
