Glen Echo Park will be closing at 12noon on Monday March 16,2026 due to impending hazardous weather.

Areas will reopen as soon as conditions are safe. Alert will be removed when area reopens. For the latest updates, visitors should check www.nps.gov/glec and social media.

⚠️ Winter Weather Update- Friday, February 13 ⚠️

❄ Its been over 20 days since the snowstorm and our amazing team is still working hard to clear off the icy snow from our many sites along the Parkway! We are excited to announce that the parking lot and bridge at Theodore Roosevelt Island is now open! Trails are still snowy so please use caution if you decide to explore! ❄

❄ Our crews are still hard at work clearing off the many Parkway sites! Here is a joyful moment captured after being able to cross an item off the long list of places that still need plowed! Wahoo! Way to go TEAM GWMP! ❄
