On Saturday December 1st 2012, for the second time in a week, the City of Glen Cove Volunteer Fire Department assisted the City of Long Beach Volunteer Fire Department by sending Engine 524 along with 10 firefighters to cover their district for a 24 hour time period during the aftermath of hurricaine Sandy. Once again, the members of the Glen Cove Volunteer Fire Department were honored to help serve their community in their time of need.

On Friday November 23rd 2012, the City of Glen Cove Volunteer Fire Department assisted the City of Long Beach Volunteer Fire Department by sending Engine 528 along with 15 firefighters to cover their district for a 24 hour time period during their hardship sufferd from Hurricaine Sandy. We wish everyone who suffered losses a speedy recovery and are extremley honored to be able to send resources to you to help get through these tough times.
