Districtwide International Night is here! We’re kicking off Foreign Language Week in style on Monday, March 2. Join our school community for an unforgettable evening celebrating the cultures, languages, music, food, and traditions that make Glen Cove so vibrant and diverse.

Student attendees will receive a “passport” to travel the globe, collecting stamps from around the world as they explore each country and culture represented throughout the evening!
This special night honors the voices, stories, and backgrounds of our students and families, reminding us that language is more than words—it’s the bridge that brings us together.

All students in Pre-K through Grade 12 are invited to attend!

Our 5th graders kicked off a 10-week journey with the Glen Cove Police Department through the GC PACT program. For nearly 30 years, this partnership has helped students learn to navigate peer pressure, avoid bullying, and make healthy, safe life choices. We are so excited to welcome GC PACT veterans Officer Darren Pittman and Sergeant Roberto Telese back to Landing School!

Landing School’s Student Council and K-Kids recently organized a successful food drive, collecting 250 items to support the NOSH Food Pantry. Their efforts helped stock the pantry’s shelves, which provides weekly NOSH bags to families in Glen Cove and the surrounding community.

Last week, the Landing School and Deasy School communities came together for a special movie night under the stars. The event was hosted by the Landing PTA and held on the front lawn of Landing School. A big thank you goes out to Nick Piotrowski for his invaluable help in creating our outdoor theater setup.

This week we celebrated Homecoming! Keeping our tradition alive, the varsity football team and cheerleaders marched through Landing, soaking up the cheers and excitement from every single student!

What better way to learn about life cycles than with hands-on discovery? Our third-grade students got an up-close look at the structure of a plant by dissecting a sunflower with the help of our amazing science coordinator, Victoria Curtis!
