Thank you to the Madison County Extension Education Foundation for including the Yanda Cabin Garden on the 2026 Garden Tours! Volunteers from the Village of Glen Carbon's G.L.E.N. Committee and the museum and cabin were there to welcome guests and encourage them to make a return visit. Stop by the 1850s period garden at the Yanda Cabin to explore for yourself!

We have good news and bad.

The good news is that the museum's interior is getting a fresh paint job! Everything will be nice and clean when it is finished.

The bad news is that the Heritage Museum will have to be closed from Monday, June 8th through Sunday, July 5th. We will reopen on Monday, July 6th for our regular hours. You can still visit our booth at Homecoming and sit at the Yanda Cabin for the Homecoming parade!

We apologize for the inconvenience but we hope you understand our efforts to maintain this historic building.
