We would love to give thank you to the Interns with the Arc Catalyst Program for the big impact that they are making in the Ann Arundel community. They recently cleaned cots for our Winter Relief Shelter. It was such a big help.

Thank you so much The Arc Baltimore

Meet Jennifer
We are pleased to introduce Jennifer McKinney to the Arundel House of Hope team. Jennifer is our newest case manager, overseeing the Fouse Center and Bridges to Hope transitional housing programs.

With over a decade of experience in human services, Jennifer has held diverse roles such as Social Enterprise Operations Manager, Director of Recovery Housing, and Director of Workforce Programs. She currently serves on the Corporate Board of Directors for Anne Arundel Workforce Development Corporation. She is a Certified Trauma Support Specialist, Certified Victim Advocate specializing in Human Trafficking, Human Rights Consultant, and Lay Counselor

Born and raised in Glen Burnie, she has a heart for serving the community. Her passion was sparked as a child by her grandmother, who served as an Anne Arundel County politician, who taught her that everyone deserves to be treated with dignity, to stand up for the underdog, believe in people’s potential, and never forget the value of compassion and fairness.

When asked what she likes best about her role, Jennifer states, “I’m honored every time someone allows me to walk alongside them on their journey. The calls, messages, and life updates—whether in struggle or success—remind me that this work is built on relationships.” Jennifer is looking forward to expanding workforce development opportunities at Arundel House of Hope. She noted, “Removing employment barriers isn’t optional; it’s essential to helping people succeed.”

In her spare time, Jennifer enjoys studying theology.

Art and Appetizers Open House - The lights went off in the building, but not in the hearts of Arundel House of Hope supporters and staff. A storm took out our power, but our Open House went on as planned.

We showed off our Art with a Heart exhibit in the courtyard, made birthday cards for our clients and shared stories of service in the homeless resource field.

Thank you to all who were able to come out and to all who support Arundel House of Hope.

August is Arundel House of Hope's Anniversary

Originally founded in 1992 as 'Winter Relief for the Homeless', Arundel House of Hope is now celebrating its 34th Anniversary.

The host church of the founding of Winter Relief was St. Christopher's in Linthicum

Here are a few photos from August 2023 where Arundel House of Hope staff, volunteers and supporters gathered at St. Christopher's. This was an event put on by our former staff member Jason, to honor those in the homeless resource field who inspired him in his own journey as a volunteer and staff member of Arundel House of Hope and as volunteer with other nonprofits and churches.
