The Standing Water Initiative (SWI) is a section of the Engineering & Environmental Services Division within the Department of Public Works in Henrico County. The SWI offers free mosquito inspections, conducts larval and adult mosquito surveillance, applies mosquito larvicides to standing water on county property and participates in a variety of education and outreach services in order to serve, i
nform, and protect Henrico County citizens from mosquito transmitted diseases. We welcome your comments to the County of Henrico's moderated discussion.
