That’s a wrap on our 1st Annual Rescue 3 Easter Event!

What an incredible day filled with massive crowds, great food, and amazing community support. Seeing 50+ kids smiling, laughing, and making memories is exactly why we do what we do.

At Rescue 3, this isn’t just something we do—it’s who we are. What truly sets us apart is the love we have for our community and the people in it. We show up because we care. We give our time because we want better—for our neighbors, for our families, and for every life we have the chance to impact. Everything we do is about improving not just the health, but the lives of those around us.

We are proud to be a teaching rescue squad, continuing to train and mentor both current and future first responders—but at the heart of it all is service, compassion, and commitment to our community.

To our Rescue 3 volunteers—thank you. Your dedication, long hours, and selfless service truly define what this organization stands for.
To our Jr. members—we couldn’t be more proud. The effort, leadership, and heart you showed today speak volumes about the future of this program.

And to everyone who came out—thank you. Your support means everything to us.

The Glasgow Rescue Squad family is coming together to support one of our own.

Thomas Andrews—a dedicated Firefighter/Paramedic since 2014 and a volunteer since 2011—is currently battling Stage 3B colon cancer. After a successful surgery to remove the mass, Thomas is now traveling to UVA every 3 weeks for ongoing treatments, along with additional care at home.

Thomas is not only a leader as a Captain with Rockbridge County Fire-Rescue, but also a devoted husband and father to four girls—two of whom are proud Junior Members right here with our squad. His wife also serves as a paramedic, continuing to care for others while their family faces this difficult journey.

Thomas has spent years answering the call for others—now it’s our turn to answer the call for him.
