Introducing Alexandria Hayes of Barren County who is a part of the Class of 2021!
Alexandria Hayes is a Glasgow Ky native, a Christian, and the proud mother of twins Tember and Donnovan. She comes from a family steeped in the very American fiber that is in need of restoration: Willa Beatrice Brown: aviator, lobbyist, civil rights activist, and the first African American women to run for the United States Congress; Luska Joseph Twyman, Kentucky's first black Mayor in 1968; and James "Happy" Neal , Glasgow City Councilman. Alexandria is also the proud granddaughter of Dallas Wood who was the first Black Police officer of Barren County. As a single mother for ten years, she knows the importance of having a safety net for the working class. Alexandria has supported democratic politics on the local and national level and believes it is time for new blood in her local government.
