MSU Extension and the MSU Center for Regenerative Agriculture hosted a webinar series highlighting key principles of regenerative agriculture, emphasizing healthy soils, resilient farms and adaptable, farm-specific practices. One session focused on integrating livestock into cropping systems, showing how plants, animals and soil work together to improve nutrient cycling, water retention and biodiversity. Farmers were encouraged to start small, learn through experience and connect with others, with MSU Extension offering ongoing support and resources.
While regenerative practices aim to improve soil, water, nutrient cycling and biodiversity—and strengthen farmer and community well being—they also come with challenges. Learn key insights on how to navigate and implement these different principles.
