City of Gladstone

City of Gladstone Gladstone, Missouri is a first-tier suburb located north of the Missouri River in the Kansas City Metro. Thanks for sharing your thoughts with us on Facebook.

An active development program and comprehensive plan is in place and Gladstone is growing. Already an active community with many amenities the City is adding more with another amphitheater, space that will serve as a grass game court in the warm weather and an synthetic ice skating rink in cold weather. The City believes in building upon partnerships and the greatest partnership is with the citizens of Gladstone. When you see the tag line that says Engaging, Listening, Responding that is is exactly what the elected City Council and City staff do each day. You are encouraged to post comments, ask questions and share your opinions. We only ask that you do so in a manner that is not intentionally malicious. The City does reserve the right to take down any comments that are malicious, damaging, or contain inappropriate lanuage. We look forward to many conversations.

Today, we remember the lives lost on September 11, 2001, and honor the courage of the first responders and countless others who answered the call to help.

Twenty-five years later, we continue to remember those we lost and reflect on the strength and unity shown in the days that followed.

We will never forget. 🇺🇸

A special addition to the Gladstone Dog Park was dedicated last week in memory of longtime City employee and volunteer Beth Houlihan. ❤️

“In the Shadow of Giants,” designed by artist Amie Jacobsen, celebrates Beth’s life and the lasting impact she made on Gladstone through her years of work beautifying the City’s parks and public spaces.

Featuring Beth’s favorite flower and color, the orange-centered daisies cast shifting shadows throughout the day, representing the positive light Beth brought to the Gladstone community.

Thank you to Beth’s family, friends, City leaders, and community members who joined us for the dedication and helped celebrate her legacy.
