Natural Gas leak alert:

There’s an active natural gas leak in the area of N Antioch and NE 64th street. Spire is already on scene with our fire crews. You may smell an odor of natural gas east of that location, don’t be alarmed. Crews are actively monitoring the air. There is no immediate threat east of Antioch. We have already advised all building occupants involved.

There will be multiple chances for severe weather this weekend, though heavy rainfall is the primary threat storms will pose. On Saturday night into Sunday morning, damaging winds are possible with the strongest storms, though large hail and tornadoes cannot be ruled out. With storms that develop Sunday afternoon and evening, large hail, damaging winds, and tornadoes are possible as well, primarily along and south of I-70. Stay tuned to the latest forecasts!

Due to additional damage from this weekend's storms, the City is extending free storm brush drop-off through June 28 for Gladstone residents.

Now including weekend drop-off on June 27 and 28, in addition to normal business hours.
