5/03/26- Officers noticed a suspicious vehicle in the 900 block of East Arlington. They made contact with the only occupant in the vehicle. A records check showed the subject to have a warrant out of Clackamas County for Possession of M**h. The subject was arrested on his warrant.

5/03/2026 – Officers responded to assist Clackamas Fire regarding a 7-Year-Old that had fallen from a 3rd story apartment window. Officers investigated the incident finding no evidence of foul play. The juvenile was transported to Randall’s Children Hospital following the incident for treatment.

5/03/2026 – Officers were requested by Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office to assist during a residential burglary just outside of town. The suspect had fled the scene prior to Officer Arrival, but GPD officers spotted the suspect heading towards Oatfield RD from Mcloughlin BLVD driving recklessly. With this information, Clackamas County Sheriff's Office was able to get behind the vehicle and pursue it NB on Oatfield RD. (outside of the city limits), where the suspect ultimately crashed and was taken into custody.

5/16/2026 – Officers responded to a welfare check on a man who has severe developmental delays. He often walks away from his home. His parents are elderly and have a difficult time keeping him to stay at home. He is not a danger to others, but they worry about him wandering into traffic. Officers have transported the man home on multiple occasions since, and Gladstone BHU has been involved.

5/16/26- The Gladstone Police Department hosted the annual Drug Take Back, Shredding, and E recycling event. The turnout was excellent. Thousands of pounds of documents were shredded,
numerous electronic devices were recycled, and approximately 100 pounds of prescription medications were collected for proper disposal. The event was highly successful, and we look forward to hosting it again next year.

5/18/2026 – Officers responded to a welfare check at Tukwila Springs. The reporting party could see a male down in his room through the window and believed him to be deceased. Officers and paramedics arrived a short time later. There were no Tukwila Springs staff on duty, and no after-hours numbers were being answered for Tukwila Springs staff. Security did not have access to any of the rooms. A Gladstone Police Cadet was able to squeeze through an ajar window to enter the locked room, allowing responders inside. The male was clearly deceased, with mail on his door about a week old. No foul play was determined, and the deceased was later released to a local funeral home

5/20/2026 – Officers responded to an incident where an unknown man came to a residence off Doncaster Drive. He backed his car into the reporting parties’ driveway and left a garbage bag full of raw chicken on the doorstep. They did not know who the male was and did not order any chicken or products that this could be mistaken for. The man was not able to be identified as the plate to the vehicle came back as sold.

5/22/2026 – Officers Responded to a report of a traffic crash at 82nd Drive near the Electric Bike Store. Witnesses stated they heard loud revving of a vehicle engine in the parking lot. The vehicle turned onto 82nd Drive and squealed its’ tires, while accelerating southbound. The driver lost control of the vehicle and crashed into a power pole, destroying a solar powered walk signal. There was concern the power pole could come down once the vehicle was towed. PGE was called out to ensure it was safe. The driver was cited for Careless Driving,

5/30/26- The Gladstone Police Department hosted the annual Bike Rodeo at the Gladstone Civic Center parking lot. The weather was ideal, and we had 57 participate in the event. Attendees received safety inspections for their bikes and helmets and had the opportunity to ride through the bike course while practicing important safety skills. Thank you to everyone who joined us, and we look forward to seeing you again next year.

5/30/26- Officers were dispatched to Texaco on a suspicious person who was acting strange. On the way to the call Officers were told the suspect may have tried to assault a woman with a piece of metal. Officers quickly arrived in the area and detained the suspect. After investigating, the suspect was arrested on several charges including Attempted Assault II, Disorderly Conduct, Menacing and other charges. The subject was taken to the Clackamas County Jail and booked on the charges.

Gladstone Police Department raised awareness of seat belt safety during the Click It or Ticket high-visibility enforcement campaign, held May 18-31, along side many local, county and state agencies. Officers wrote several citations for seat belt violations during the enforcement period. The campaign combined increased enforcement, a zero-tolerance policy for not wearing a seat belt, and effective communication to road users on the importance of seat belt use. The funds used were from a grant from NHTSA.

We had an incredible time today at the Gladstone Bike Rodeo! It was wonderful to see so many young riders enjoying the event, building their biking skills, and staying safe on two wheels. Dozens of new helmets were distributed, helping ensure our community's cyclists are ready for many safe adventures ahead.

A special shoutout to SRO Teague, who put his biking talents on full display, and to our outstanding Cadets, who helped make the day such a success. Their enthusiasm, leadership, and support helped create a fun-filled experience for everyone who attended.

Thank you to all who joined us, we can’t wait to see you at the next event!
