In the meantime, here is an article in Swimming World about our MOVY Masters swimmer Siphiwe Baleka who had hopes of swimming in the Olympics last year for his ancestral country, Guinea-Bissau at 50 years old! You might remember him from our local meets.

Guinea-Bissau swimmer Siphiwe Baleka said he felt “betrayed” by FINA after his appeal to swim at the Tokyo Olympics was denied.

Super short notice...
AMC Barrywoods is showing the original 1999 Matrix tonight at 7pm in IMAX for $8!!

I'm SUPER excited about the new one coming out near Christmas time (Dec 22nd), and I can't believe how many people I've talked to who never saw the original!

I was thinking about hosting an original Matrix watch party, then getting a group together for the new one, but if you're interested in going tonight... PM, call or text me!

Sorry for the late notice... the GCC Masters' Calendar has been updated. Yes, we do have practice tomorrow! Some of you might have received an email about a swim meet. Warmups are AFTER Masters Practice.

Speaking of swim meets... I'm getting ready to send a MOVY Blast to our Masters Region about the meet next weekend (12/11). We won't have practice that day... I'll be at the meet! You should come too! Check the MOVY Blast for the link to register. So far we only have 32 swimmers, and because it's SCM (Short Course Meters), your times will be ranked higher nationally (there are fewer SCM meets!).

Registration closes next Thursday night at Midnight. Also, you will need to get your 2021/2022 USMS Membership which is $60 for the whole year! We have several more events coming up so getting your USMS membership now will get you off on the right foot!

Speaking of getting off on the right foot... I'm having knee replacement surgery (finally) on 12/14. Lori will be coaching through the end of the year after next Thursday (12/9). So... Happy Holidays and I'll see you next year! Haha! I'll definitely pop in and maybe even get in the water if I can before 1/6.
