Big shoutout to Clarksville Warren City Volunteer Fire Department for coming out and supporting Gladewater Trade Days today!
These guys set up not one, but TWO cooling tents with free water to help keep our shoppers and vendors cool in the East Texas heat. They didn't have to do it, but they chose to serve our community anyway.
If you stop by today, be sure to thank them for everything they do—not just here at Trade Days, but every day they answer the call to help their neighbors.
And if you've ever thought about serving your community, protecting your neighbors, and being part of something bigger than yourself, stop by and talk to them about becoming a volunteer firefighter. Departments like CWC depend on local men and women willing to step up and make a difference.
Thank you, CWC VFD, for helping make this event a success and for everything you do for our communities.

Although Gregg County is NOT currently under a burn ban, we strongly encourage residents to refrain from outdoor burning today due to elevated fire weather conditions.

According to the National Weather Service office in Shreveport, winds are increasing out of the south at 10–15 mph, with gusts reaching 18–25 mph. Temperatures will climb into the mid-60s to lower 70s, and relative humidity values are expected to drop to 20–25%.

These conditions create an elevated fire danger across all districts, with the potential for rapid fire spread, especially this afternoon through early evening.

Even controlled burns can quickly get out of hand in windy, dry conditions. We ask everyone to use caution and postpone any outdoor burning until conditions improve.

Let’s work together to keep Gregg County safe.
