It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our lifetime member Barry Cundiff. He proudly served our community for over 48 years. He will be greatly missed. As the temperatures rise and calls increase, staying hydrated is critical for our firefighters’ safety and performance. We’re reaching out to our community for support—we’re currently accepting donations of bottled water at our volunteer fire station.

Every case of water helps keep our team ready and able to respond when the community needs us most. Whether it’s after a long fire call, a training day, or during extreme heat, your donation makes a direct impact.

📍Drop-off Location: 6680 old franklin turnpike
Or the (new building) 9825 old franklin turnpike

If we are out on a call, place water at front door please.

At approximately 10:23 AM Tuesday, May 19th Gladehill Fire Dept was dispatched to a brushfire in the 5000 block of Colonial Turnpike. Units arrived on scene to find a 2-3 acre brushfire burning in a field and was able to take quick action getting it contained and extinguished! Units cleared around 12pm. Thank you to Snow Creek and Rocky Mount fire dept as well as public safety staff for the assist!
