Girard- Lake City Christian Cupboard We are the local food pantry serving the Girard/Lake City Community, called the Christian Cupboard A lost ID may be replaced at a cost of $1.

Mission Statement:
We, as a Christian Organization, are dedicated to serving those in need both physically and spiritually. Just as Jesus fed the 5,000, we will endeavor to feed the hungry from the Girard/Lake City area. Policies:
To be served by this food pantry, you must sign a self-declaration of need form and register with ID and additional proof of address in the 16417/16423 zip codes. The re

cipient will be issued a Christian Cupboard ID card which must be presented to receive food at each distribution. The Church Street Parking Lot is for the handicapped. All others should park in the West parking lot. Please bring (2) bags for your groceries- assistance will be available to help you carry them. Be prepared for the weather; there may be a wait outside. Please pass CC umbrellas to the next in line-do not bring them inside. Occasionally the Christian Cupboard has special items available in limited quantities. On those occasions: Special items may NOT be available to new or recently inactive registrants due to the limited quantity. Everyone will be served and we will do our best to serve you as quickly as possible. Please extend each other the utmost courtesy. Remember, we are a Christian ministry and we uphold the values of mutual respect for our brothers and sisters. Disruptions and incidents of disrespect will not be tolerated. If you have circumstances that cannot be addressed within the current procedures, please speak with one of the Christian Cupboard directors or call the Girard Presbyterian Church office at 774-3985 & leave contact info. The Christian Cupboard and Girard Presbyterian Church are smoke-free. NO SMOKING on Church property. We serve approximately 200 families in the Girard/Lake City area. We normally serve from 1:00 PM-6:00 PM every first and third Thursday of the month. We are not are Government program; we are a supplement to assist the less fortunate. We exist on donations alone. Currently, we have been working with a Grant from the United Way. Please consider us when making a donation. Donations of unused/unopened food, paper products, and toiletries are welcome.

The pantry needs your help ! Stuff the cop car will be on Dec. 15th. They will be collecting non perishables and monetary donations from 11 to 3 p.m. at the Girard Giant Eagle. Please consider helping out the Christian Cupboard Food Pantry!

Access to nutritious food is essential for good health, but not everyone can afford it. According to Feeding America, 79% of our neighbors facing food insecurity sacrifice other needs to put food on the table. Second Harvest Food Bank, with 376 agency partners, is committed to ensuring everyone has access to healthy food. Since July 1, 2023, our Produce Express has provided over 980,000 meals to over 7,000 people. No one’s health should be impacted by lack of transportation or the cost of food. In order to continue providing our neighbors with nutritious food, we need your help.
