This year, Leadership Gilroy is doing something special.

For the first time, we are honoring two individuals with our prestigious Legacy of Leadership Award, recognizing the extraordinary partnership and impact of SakaBozzo, the creative collaboration between Sam Bozzo and Gene Sakahara.

Traditionally, this award celebrates one individual whose leadership has left a lasting imprint on our community. This year, we couldn’t separate the story because their impact has been greater together.

Madalyn is passionate about encouraging her generation to take a seat at the table. If she’s missing in action, she’s likely recharging with a great audiobook and a large coffee.

Ed Sauceda is an integral part of the GDBA and is currently serving his second year as vice president. He has dedicated many years to the Gilroy community through his involvement with organizations such as the Garlic Festival, ICF, Day on the Ridge, the Gilroy Foundation, and the YMCA. Ed brings a wealth of knowledge and experience, and his insight is deeply valued. His steady leadership and commitment continue to help our board grow, strengthen, and confidently take on new challenges.

Raul joined the GDBA team in April of 2025. He has worked for his family’s company, R.A.C. Services, for the last 8 years. His favorite part about being a GDBA member is working alongside his fellow board members to put on events that engage our community and local businesses.
