Tonight you may have seen a heavy Police and SWAT presence in the Shellcamp area. Belknap County Sheriff’s Office Deputies, BRSOG and Gilmanton Police took a subject into custody on violent Felony warrants.

Gilmanton Police Department is currently investigating a serious motor vehicle crash at the intersection of Route 106 and Allens Mill Road. Route 106, Allens Mill and South Road are all closed at this time.

Please keep the following safety tips in mind:
• Verify Credentials: Legitimate solicitors are required to register with the town. Ask to see their permit and a valid company ID.
• Do Not Feel Pressured: You are under no obligation to open your door, listen to a sales pitch, or make a purchase.
• Protect Your Information: Never give out personal details, financial information, or sign any documents on the spot.

If a salesperson is overly aggressive, ignores "No Soliciting" signs, or if you suspect they are operating without a permit, please contact us immediately so an officer can respond. For non-emergencies, call the station at (603) 267-7401. If you feel unsafe or experience suspicious behavior, always dial 911.
