Will you be a peach and take some of these extra peaches off our hands?

We have two big pallets of peaches delivered today from the Food Bank that are on the backside of the food pantry. Please feel free to take some to snack on!

This month, Mikel's book club pick is Household Deformation: The Rise and Permanence of Modern Homelessness, by Michael D. Ullman.

Drawing on more than 25 years of experience in homeless services and low-income housing, Ullman examines how housing policies, changing household structures, and federal definitions have shaped modern homelessness. Through personal stories, statistics, and policy history, the book invites readers to reconsider common explanations for homelessness and the systems intended to address it.

There are no meetings and no pressure to participate. Simply read along at your own pace. If you pick up a copy, we’d love to hear your thoughts in the comments or DMs! https://www.ccsgillette.org/post/october-book-pick-household-deformation

Thank you, Mikel, for your support and for all the amazing work you and your team at Council of Community Services provide for Campbell County!

"The tax has allowed our community to maintain roads, bridges, sewer systems, etc that my family and organization use every day. When those are not maintained, it makes doing business much more difficult. The tax has also helped to fund operating expenses at the Council of Community Services that allows us to employ local people to help our neighbors in need."

Thank you Thunder Basin Ford for supporting our organization during the global food drive!

During the month of September, Thunder Basin Ford was proud to participate in Ford’s Global Food Drive, joining dealerships around the world in the fight against hunger!

Thanks to the generosity and teamwork of our Thunder Basin Ford family and Gillette community, we were able to donate approximately 800 POUNDS OF FOOD to our local Council of Community Services!

We believe being part of a community means more than just doing business here. It means showing up, giving back, and helping our neighbors when they need it most.

A huge THANK YOU to everyone who helped make this possible! We’re proud to be part of a community that takes care of its own.

Stronger communities start with support. 💙 💛

WCDA was proud to join the Council of Community Services at their open house to celebrate the impact of the CDBG funding they were awarded last year.

From addressing homelessness and hunger to expanding access to supportive services, organizations like CCS are making a meaningful difference in Campbell County and beyond.

We’re proud to support community development and housing solutions that help Wyoming communities thrive! 🏡

Save the date! The 23rd Annual Empty Bowl will be held on Friday, April 30th, 2027, at the Cam-Plex Energy Hall.

The Empty Bowl has been a cherished tradition in Campbell County for the last two decades, and its success is inextricably linked to the incredible support we receive from our community. What started as a small but mighty dinner at the Soup Kitchen in 2004 has grown into the impactful event it is today.

If you are interested in becoming a sponsor or reserving your ticket, contact [email protected] today.
