Calling the youngest reading rebels (elementary school aged approximately)! Let's have some fun with a funny book and learn American history too! Stop by and pick up your copy. Big news for our middle-grade readers: tweens now have their own section at the library!

We've created a dedicated, easy-to-browse space for readers ages 10–13, filled with books that are a step beyond juvenile fiction while remaining age-appropriate for middle-grade readers. These books often feature more challenging stories and longer page counts than juvenile fiction, but with content and reading levels that are less mature than those of teen books.

To browse, look for the blue Tween stickers along the library's back wall, across from the Teen section!

Saturday, June 27 @ 10:30am Macculloch Hall Historical Museum presents Hands-on History at the Library, a program that introduces children to how museums use primary sources to learn about the past. The program uses portraits, letters, and objects to facilitate a hands-on learning experience. Participants also try their hand at using a dip ink pen and practice writing a letter.
