💦☀️ The Splash Pad is OPEN! ☀️💦

Good news! The repairs have been completed, and the Gilbertville Splash Pad is now back open and ready for fun!

Thank you to everyone for your patience while the necessary repairs were made. We appreciate your understanding and are excited to welcome families back to enjoy the splash pad.

Weather pending, beginning the week of June 8th, the City’s Contractor (Hatch Grading) will begin the 5th Street Sanitary Sewer project between 12th Avenue and 16th Avenue.
The intersections of 12th, 13th, 14th, and 16th, will be closed except for an alternating, travel lane on the east sides of the intersections. Weather pending, the construction is anticipated to last 4-6 weeks. A detour will be in place to get around the 14th Avenue intersection by utilizing 15th Avenue and its intersection with 5th Street.

Please see the map showing the construction zone and the available driving routes during construction in dashed orange. For safety purposes, please do not enter the construction area.

REMINDER THAT THE CITY-WIDE CLEAN UP IS THIS SATURDAY!

If you are planning to dispose of appliances, electrical items, or tires, you must purchase a sticker from at the City Hall!
City Hall is open until 4 PM today, Thursday from 8 AM to 4 PM and closed Friday!
Make sure to stop by and get those stickers before the event!!

Hey neighbors! May is looking busy, and we don't want you to miss a beat. From spring cleaning to schedule changes, here is the scoop! 🍦✨

🏛️ City Hall Schedule Updates
Heads up! City Hall is upgrading to a new system 💻. They will be closed for a few hours most mornings between May 4th – May 14th for staff training.

Mon. May 4 & 11: 🚫 Closed 11am – 1pm

Tue. May 5 & 12: 🚫 Closed 9am – 11am

Thu. May 7: 🚫 Closed 10am – 12pm

Thu. May 14: 🚫 Closed 9am – 11am

Also, City Hall will be fully closed on Monday, May 25th for Memorial Day. 🇺🇸

🧹 City-Wide Clean Up Day! 🚛
It’s time to clear out the garage! Saturday, May 16th is our official Clean Up Day. ♻️

⏰ Early Start: Have your items on the front lawn or driveway BEFORE 7:00 AM. *
🎟️ Stickers: Don't forget—you need stickers for your items! Grab them at City Hall during open hours. 🏢

🚨 CITY-WIDE CLEAN-UP: SATURDAY, MAY 16TH 🚨

Our Annual City-Wide Clean-Up is here! Get your pile to the curb and we’ll haul it away.

Items MUST be at the curb by 7:00 AM sharp. Crews make one pass only. If it’s not out, they will not turn around!

🏷️ ITEMS REQUIRING A PAID TAG
Special items require a sticker to be picked up as those items must be processed separately. These stickers can be purchased at the City Hall. Stickers must be purchased by Thursday May 14th at 4:00 pm.
• $20 - Appliances (A/C, Fridge, Stove, Washer/Dryer, etc.)
• $10 - Electrical Items (Anything with a cord!)
• $15 - Tires (Car & Truck)

🚫 ITEMS NOT ACCEPTED:
Paint, thinners, oil, gas/diesel, hazardous materials, shingles, or food waste.

Water on 8th St & 9th St will be shut off in approximately 30 minutes and is expected to last about 30 minutes. There will be people going door to door to let everyone know.
