The Gilbertsville Fire Department would like to thank the Morris Fire Department for allowing our members to join in on their recent O.S.H.A. training.

It’s always great to work with neighboring departments that value cooperation, shared learning, and supporting one another. Training together helps all of us become better prepared to serve our communities.

We appreciate our neighbors to the north for welcoming us and reminding us how strong the fire service is when departments have each other’s backs.

🔥 Controlled Burn Notice – Thursday, October 30, 2025 🔥

The Gilbertsville Volunteer Fire Department will conduct a controlled burn on River Road on Thursday, October 30, 2025, at approximately 5:30 p.m.

This planned burn is part of our regular fire prevention efforts and provides valuable training for our members. Residents in the area may observe smoke or notice fire activity for several hours.

Please refrain from calling 911 to report the smoke or flames unless you witness signs of an uncontrolled or unexpected fire.

We appreciate your cooperation and understanding as we carry out this essential safety and environmental work.
