Remember, for these sales, you do NOT need a permit! Just grab the stuff you don't need anymore, throw a price on them, and put them out for sale!

**EDIT: As of 2:57pm, power has been restored**

Be advised, Village Hall is currently experiencing a power outage. Offices remain open, however some services like village phones have limited functionality.

Police and emergency services remain available by dialing 911 or non-emergency at 630-232-8400.

We will keep you updated when power is restored.

The Gilberts Elementary Parent Teacher Organization will be hosting “Race for the Gold”, a 5K Race and 1-Mile Fun Run in the Town Center area on Sunday, April 19th from 8:00 am to 10:30 am. See the image for route information.

Gilberts PD will have officers on site to assist with traffic control on Tyrell Road, which will have temporary closures as runners cross at Columbia and Town Center Boulevard. Whether you reside in Town Center or are just passing through, please drive with caution on Sunday morning and be respectful to runners! ❤️

This is a great community event and the Village is excited for residents to tackle this challenge on our streets! 🏃‍➡️🏃‍♂️‍➡️🏃‍♀️‍➡️

As many residents have noticed, AT&T has been working to install fiber optic service in Gilberts. Crews are currently working in the Timber Trails and Town Center areas, and work will continue over the coming weeks. The Village is also aware of several resident concerns regarding restoration efforts and we have been in communication with AT&T regarding those concerns. Questions or concerns should be directed to AT&Ts dedicated project line at 1-800-843-6581.

Prior to work taking place, AT&T crews leave door hangers at properties where work is taking place (sample included). Construction will occur within utility easements, which are located along most properties throughout the Village (typically in side-yards and the rear of backyards). The project will involve several steps, including utility locating, directional boring, cable placement, and finally cable splicing and testing. Please do not remove any flags, as they are necessary for marking underground utilities. Flags will typically be removed about one week after excavation is completed.

Once all underground work is finished, restoration of affected areas will follow.

Calling all Easter Egg Hunters and Chocolate Lovers! 🐰🍫

The Village of Gilberts Annual Easter Egg Hunt will take place on Saturday, March 28th at 10:30 am at the Eagles Club. Come early for the Eagle’s Club Breakfast with the Bunny at 9:00 am to get the kids fueled up for the hunt! More event details below. 🥞

The egg hunt will take place in the large field next to the Eagles Club. The full address is 325 Raymond Drive, Gilberts IL 60136. Attendees will be split into four age groups: 3 and under, 4-5, 6-7, and 8-10. There is a lane for each age group and they will do a staggered start with the youngest age group starting first. Before you leave the event, check your egg haul for tickets to exchange for bigger candy prizes! We look forward to seeing the community for a fun candy filled morning! 🐣

💧HYDRANT FLUSHING NOTICE💧

The Village of Gilberts Utilities Division will be flushing water mains and inspecting hydrants beginning April 1st (no it's not an April Fools Joke).

Signs will be up in the neighborhoods ahead of time notifying residents when flushing will begin in their neighborhood. Flushing hours are M-F 7am-3pm.

During this time, the water is still safe to drink, but may be discolored during flushing hours. Please be advised that it is recommended to avoid washing any light-colored clothing during this time to avoid discoloration.
