Hello, neighbors!
I hope everyone is doing well and you all are enjoying this beautiful summer weather.
I wanted to share couple of HOA updates with you, as we are transitioning to new board members and getting ready for our annual meeting.
1) With Robin relocating, the board appointed Lissa Bizak as the new president. She is not on Facebook, so all the communication will be taking place through the HOA Community Solutions and our manager Kylee. We are still looking for volunteers to fill other positions within the board, so please let us know if you are interested.
2) Due to low interest ( this year and previous years), the Annual Community Garage Sale will not have a certain date in place. Everyone is welcome to host their sale whenever convenient for their household.
3) We are still in the process of organizing the Annual Community HOA meeting. You should get all the info in the mail soon, including the budget proposal and other housekeeping items.

PLAYGROUND IS NOW OPEN!! 🤗 I will be raking a bit tomorrow just to spruce it up a bit more & pulling some weeds but didn’t want to wait another day for our kiddos to be able to play!! Thank you all for your patience and ENJOY! ☺️

PARK/PLAYGROUND UPDATE! I wish I had better news but the playground & park will not be open this coming Monday. We ran into a supply issue and are working on getting it completed by Sunday, July 16th! Thank you & Stay Tuned!! Hope everyone has a Happy & Safe 4th of July! ❤️💙❤️

NEED HOA BOARD MEMBERS!! ☺️ Hello Barclay Place Neighbors, there are several board positions available. Effective July 1st, 2023, Robin will no longer be acting President of the HOA. Her and her family are relocating and will no longer be residing in the community. We are in need of community members that care about this community and want to be involved. Please reach out if you are interested. Hoping that together, we can continue to make positive changes and keep Barclay Place a safe and desired community to live in. Thank you!

Hello Barclay Place Neighbors! I wanted to let the community know that the park opening date has been extended due to inclement weather the last few days. The park opening date is scheduled for Monday, July 3rd. An email with this information is also being sent by HOA Community Solutions for all members that have provided an email address. Thank you.

PLAYGROUND & PARK UPDATE!! 🛝 Hello everyone! The board has hired a contractor to complete the playground and we were able to save $3,000. 😄 They will start this coming weekend and if all goes as planned, the park will be open and ready for FUN by Sunday, June 25th!! Thank you!

Hello Barclay Place Neighbors! We are working hard to get the last few items completed for our park reopen. Unfortunately, we likely will have to push the reopening of the park out a few more weeks.
With that said, I have provided the quote below from a landscaping company to complete the necessary park ground cover work to be in compliance. We learned that pea gravel is not permitted in children’s’ playtoy areas. I am waiting to hear back from 2 more vendors to compare quotes. This work includes relocating of the current pea gravel/rubber mulch mix to the outer edges of the park and to install a new border and replace with new cedar play chips around the play toy area. I want to share that both the certified park inspector (performed by Iverson & Associates/NW Play) and the Reserve Study that was conducted by Association Reserves (required by WA State to be performed annually), shared the same concerns of needing to have this completed before reopen. I will keep everyone informed on what the board decides on behalf of the community, but please know we are trying to save the association as much money as possible. With that said, the board has both a fiduciary responsibility and the responsibility to do what is right in keeping our community safe & in compliance. PARK UPDATE: Just wanted to give the community an update on the park. We have been waiting for vendor quotes (ie. playground ground cover, parts). Happy to report, we have an installer scheduled to come out this coming week to anchor down the current playset and to make some adjustments. The board is working hard to have this completed by the end of May. 🤞 We are eager to allow our kids back in the park to enjoy it again. Thank you for your continued support and patience while we navigate thru this process. Stay tuned!

IMPORTANT PARK NEWS! Our Barclay Place Community Park will be closed effective immediately. It has been brought to our attention that the park is in need of some repairs & presents dangerous conditions. We are working on putting a sign up on the park gate but wanted to get this out to everyone so please spread the word. Your HOA board is working with the management company and together hoping to have an estimated date of reopen for the community soon. As disappointing as this is, our number one goal is to always keep our kiddos safe. Please be patient with us while we make these necessary repairs/changes. We will also be sending out a blast email to all homeowners who are on the contact list as well. If you have an urgent question/concern, please reach out to Kylee, our Community Manager with HOA Community Solutions. Thank you for your understanding.
