All of us should carry narcan!

Naloxone is a life-saving medication that can reverse overdoses. The Naloxone Finder makes it easy for people to locate free naloxone in their area. doh.wa.gov/naloxonefinder

Naloxone (also known as Narcan®) comes as either an injection or nasal spray and works quickly, often in minutes. It’s safe, effective and easy to use — anyone can administer it.

You can use your insurance to get naloxone at a pharmacy without a prescription or you can purchase it at major retailers across the state. Free resources may be limited and are intended for those without other access.

We recently lost Lois Thetford, a legacy PA and esteemed member of our community. As an early graduate of the Medex program, Lois dedicated her career to teaching and mentoring hundreds of aspiring PAs. Her tireless advocacy for the LGBTQ community, PAs, expectant mothers, individuals experiencing homelessness, and WAPA is a testament to her remarkable character. We are excited to debut our new Mobile Medical Unit in tomorrow's Forest Festival Parade! 🚐✨💚
The Mobile Medical Unit will be used in partnership with community organizations and service providers to help expand access to care by meeting people where they are and connecting community members with essential health services, resources, education, and support throughout Mason County!
