Glascock County Sheriff Jeremy Kelley Sheriff of Glascock County Jeremy Kelley is a life long resident of Glascock County. Jeremy is the son of Jerry and Nickie Kelley.

He married Jennifer Land Kelley in April 2011 and together they have two daughters, Emma Faith and Ryer Lannae. He has been with the Glascock County Sheriff's Office for the past 10 years and served as Chief Deputy from 2011 until December 2016. Jeremy took office as Sheriff January 1, 2017. Jeremy is also a member of the Glascock County Fire Department and Gibson First Baptist Church. Jeremy is honored to serve as your Sheriff.

UPDATE: HOLMES was arrested at approximately 6:00 am today at a convenience store in Wrens, Ga. He was taken into custody without incident and is currently in the Jefferson Co. Jail.

On Thursday afternoon, September 3rd, 2026, a Stapleton Police Officer stopped WILLIAM RANDALL HOLMES from Alabama for speeding on Georgia Highway 296 south of Stapleton, Georgia. During the encounter, HOLMES decided to run from the scene on foot. Back-up Officers from the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office and the Georgia State Patrol saturated the area in search of HOLMES. So far, he has not been located.
If you live in this area (Rob Street, Kelli Quarter Road, Brittany Street, etc.) please keep your homes, outbuildings and vehicles locked. Please call 911 if you see or suspect that HOLMES is on your property. Do not approach him. Arrest warrants are forthcoming for traffic and drug charges.
Officers will be in the area searching for HOLMES throughout the evening.

🚨 SERVICE OUTAGE – GLASCOCK COUNTY 🚨

The Glascock County Sheriff’s Office is advising residents that internet and cellular service throughout Glascock County is currently experiencing an outage. This outage is also affecting Glascock County government offices and services.

The outage is due to fiber optic lines being cut and damaged outside of Wrens.

At this time, there is no estimated repair time available. Service providers are working to identify and repair the damage, and we will provide additional information as it becomes available.

We appreciate everyone’s patience and understanding while repairs are being made.

The Glascock County Sheriff’s Office would like to inform the public that State Route 171 North is currently closed from Carl Harrell Road to Chalker Road due to a motor vehicle accident.

The roadway will remain closed until further notice.

Please avoid the area and use an alternate route. We will provide updates as soon as they become available.
