🎉 Our First Club Day! 🎉

GMCS students had a wonderful time exploring a variety of activities during today’s first Club Day!

From Drama and Gardening to Games, Yoga, and Ping-Pong, students had the chance to try something new, discover their interests, and spend time learning and having fun with friends.

We loved seeing our students explore, create, move, and connect!

A couple of mystery readers showed up at GMCS today…although we're not sure the disguises fooled anyone. 😂
Dr. Hogan and Dr. Jim became Officer Buckle and Gloria and made their way into each classroom to read Officer Buckle and Gloria and talk with students about safety tips and our GMCS expectations for the school year.

Of course, they couldn’t just read the safety tips. That would have been way too easy. 😂 There were props, signs, a banana, pool floaties, a jumbo foil thumbtack, and plenty of laughs!

The story was a fun way to remind students that rules and safety tips really do matter and that we all have a part in making GMCS a safe and happy place to learn.

And just like Officer Buckle learned, sometimes it takes a good partner to help get the message across. ⭐

✨ Learning, Teamwork & a Little Friendly Challenge!

Last week, our 5/6 students put their teamwork and problem-solving skills to the test with two fun challenges!

Building Connections: Students wrote down things they had in common on index cards and then worked together to build a tower using the cards. What a fun way to discover shared interests while practicing communication, creativity, and teamwork!

Marker Challenge: Next, students worked together to hold up markers using only their index fingers—and then had to move around without letting them fall! Easier said than done! 😄

These hands-on activities are a great reminder that learning isn’t always about sitting at a desk. Sometimes it’s about communicating, cooperating, problem-solving, and having a whole lot of fun along the way! 💜💛

🍎📚 Back to School! ✏️🚌

And just like that… a brand-new school year begins! There’s something special about fresh notebooks, sharpened pencils, new routines, and all the possibilities that come with a new beginning.

Wishing all of our students, teachers, staff, and families a wonderful school year filled with learning, laughter, new friendships, and plenty of moments to be proud of. 💛

🌸 Today at GMCS Summer Camp, we traveled to Japan!

Our campers had an amazing time exploring Japanese culture through hands-on activities and creativity. They enjoyed making beautiful, traditional-inspired crafts while learning about the rich traditions and artistry of Japan.

Every day is a new adventure as we journey around the world, discovering different countries, cultures, and customs. We can't wait to see where our travels take us next! 🌎💜
