Serving you as Sheriff can be challenging, exhausting, and unpredictable but above all, it’s incredibly rewarding. While I feel those stresses in this role, I also recognize that our staff carries that same weight every day. I make it a priority to ensure they’re supported, in a good place, and able to enjoy the work they do. When our team is strong and positive, it benefits everyone we serve.

Recently, we took a moment to have a little fun I asked the staff to draw a picture of me as their Sheriff. The responses were great, and it gave us all a chance to laugh together.

Being your Sheriff is an honor I don’t take lightly. I truly love what I do and appreciate every minute of it. Sometimes, it’s important to step back, have a laugh, and not take yourself too seriously.

Please enjoy the photos below (Yes they are hanging in my office).
