🌼As we move into spring, donations naturally slow down. 🌷
But meals still need to be served. Shelves still need to be stocked.

Monthly donors help bridge that gap. A recurring PayPal gift gives us stability during the months when support dips.

This morning the Gettysburg High School Cheer Squad is spreading a different kind of cheer through the organization of a community food drive. Many thanks to these young ladies for braving the cold and bringing us a variety of non-parishable foods to help keep our pantry stocked. As always it warms our hearts to see our youth stepping up and giving back to the community. Good job ladies! ❤️

Feeling super good about today. We are closed on Monday and today we were able to give 83 Families, Couples and Individuals grocery bags filled with prepared foods, ready to eat foods, fresh fruit and vegetables, bread, rolls, and shelf stable foods and snacks.
We are so blessed to be able provide these items in preparation for the predicted winter storm, and our guests were very grateful.
Thank you everyone for all your generous donations in the past few months.
The Soup Kitchen will be back to normal hours of operation on Tuesday January 27th. See you then.

Sending a heartfelt thank you to our friends at St. Rita's for your faithful support of the Gettysburg Community Soup Kitchen.
Your generous donations throughout the year and the excellent shopping skills of your coordinator Chris Manning is a winning recipe to purchase this generous bounty of food items. Many of these food items sustain us through several months of meal preparation.
Happy New Year and may God bless you for being ever mindful of the needs of others.

No time for a picture today, but represtative from the Gettysburg Eagles dropped by to wish us a Happy New Year and tell us they found some more money to give us.
Thank you Eagles for the additional $5000. Happy New Year and God bless you all for your generous spirit of giving back to our community.

✝️🎄Merry Christmas Facebook friends. It was a joyous day at the Soup Kitchen, with a generous spread of food and gift bags for everyone who came.
This is the perfect opportunity to thank everyone who supports the Soup Kitchen whether through monetary donations or donations of foods for holiday meals or to help stock our shelves.
We feel the love and caring of our community every day and are grateful for all of God's blessings, both of which enable us to pass on that love to our guests through our meals and daily interactions.
We wish everyone a happy, healthy and prosperous New Year.

Also pictured are some guests at the homeless shelter with the food provided for the thirty guest currently residing there. Staff and guests alike were grateful and looking forward to enjoying a full Christmas menu.
