The Germantown Police Department is a professional, progressive law
enforcement organization committed to serving the citizens of Germantown,
Tennessee. Our police department is organized into four divisions: Police Services,
Uniform Patrol, Investigations and Communications. We currently number more than
100 officers and approximately 25 public safety dispatchers. The Germantown Police
Department

has earned accreditation through the Tennessee Law Enforcement
Accreditation Program, a program created and managed by the Tennessee Association
of Chiefs of Police.

Traffic Alert: Due to railroad crossing maintenance the crossing on Forest Hill Irene at Poplar Pike will be closed to all northbound and southbound traffic until approximately 4 p.m. today. Please plan an alternate route if traveling in this area.

Heads up, drivers: Forest Hill Irene Road will be closed at the railroad crossing just south of Poplar Pike on Thursday, May 28, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. while Norfolk Southern completes emergency repairs.

Access through the crossing will not be available during the closure window. Please seek alternate routes.

Please join us in congratulating Officers Evan Patrick and Anthony Rotello on their graduation from the Memphis Police Department Training Academy, 54th Regional Recruit Session. Both officers distinguished themselves during their training, with Officer Patrick receiving the Top Academic Award and Officer Rotello earning the Top Physical Fitness Award. We commend them for their outstanding achievements and are proud to welcome them as they begin their service to the Germantown community.
