With Spring here and opening day tomorrow, we wanted to share some amazing work that Kohrman’s Brothers Masonry did for the park this year. They did the work on their own dime to help the community and we couldn’t be happier or more proud of how Reds Monument turned out.

Thanks Gee and Craig and all the kohrman guys for all the hard work. Us at the park board as well as everyone else really appreciate it!

The GYA will be having a uniform drop off/refund pick up on Thursday August 20 from 6:30-8:30 p.m. at the big pavilion at Schoendienst Park.

Refunds will be available for anyone who didn’t apply their payment to the fall soccer season.

We ask everyone to please drop off uniforms even if you applied your payment to soccer.

Update on summer Little Leagues:

At this time, the Mid-County Youth League has decided to wait until May 22 before making a decision on whether to play league games for the 2020 season. This decision was made in hopes that more information regarding the stay-at-home order and social distancing guidelines will be available by this time.

If we do have a league it will be shortened, starting in June and ending in July. There won't be an all-star game or any extras this year, just really aimed at giving the kids a chance to play! If you have any questions, please let us know! Germantown Kernel Nut Club

With the Germantown Spassfest, Inc only 1 month away we wanted to take some time so show a project we were able to accomplish this year. This project was funded entirely from proceeds from the Spassfest.

The new lights at the lake park a couple years ago we’re also made possible because of the hard work from all of the volunteers and patrons of this amazing community event.

We highly encourage all residents in town to come out and help with the event this year. Whether it be helping work a stand or just enjoying the fun filled day of music, games, rides etc. It really takes a combined effort to make the event a great success and we just wanted to showcase what some of the proceeds are able to help with.

The new Schoendienst park pavilion addition features new handicap accessible bathrooms and more concrete to ensure a better park experience for many years to come.

On behalf of the Germantown Park Board we wanted to send a huge THANK YOU to the Spassfest, and also to everyone of you that has helped make the Spassfest and the Town of Germantown what it is today!

Here’s some photos of the park from this year. We had fun working with the kids from school. It’s always rewarding to help the next generation of kids that take pride in their town!

The projects the school completed were stocking fish in the lake, burying structure to help the fish habitat, and the completion of the Michelle Varel basketball/volleyball court. We also dedicated a Oak tree for Mookey Leonard with the Leonard family.

If you drive by the lake today you will notice the blue coloring added and treatment to kill the moss growing around the shore. (should be gone in a couple days!)

We would really like to thank everyone that volunteered their time, ideas, and overall support for the park. Without everyone in town, none of this would be possible. Special thanks to Kohnen Concrete for helping install the basketball rims and new volleyball net and poles at school and the Germantown Spassfest, Inc for helping with the funding.

We hope everyone enjoys the nice weather, the parks, and have a wonderful summer!!

Please help us help get the word out about the Chicken Dinner Feb 24th, Next Saturday!!! All proceeds raised are going towards the bathroom projects at Schoendienst park. Should be a Great time for all! We all appreciate your support. Cya there!
