Our online school supply kit store is closing next Monday, June 8. All orders submitted by the deadline will be shipped to the school. Families will be notified when they are ready for pick-up, or the kits can stay at school, and we will deliver to the classrooms.

Miss the deadline and still need to order, no worries. Even after the Ship-to-School sale is over, the teacher-approved supply list can still be ordered from the website, and it will be shipped directly to your home instead. Please note, there will be an added charge for ship to home.

One of our Bulldog families is missing a beloved pet, and we would appreciate your help spreading the word.

Luna is a small Chihuahua/Scottish Terrier mix weighing about 6 pounds. She is not very social and may bark if approached. While she is not aggressive, she will likely be scared and may not come when called.

Germantown Elementary School is seeking at least one paraprofessional to join our special education team for the 2026–2027 school year.

This position involves working with teachers and students in our special education program to provide support as needed throughout the school day.

Hours will be 8:30–3:00.

We are looking for individuals who are positive, dependable, and patient. Experience working with children with special needs is a plus, but not required. Training and ongoing support will be provided.

Applicants must be paraprofessional certified or willing to obtain certification. We will assist with the certification process if needed.

Please join us in welcoming Brooke Zurliene to GES.

Miss Zurliene will be teaching second grade next school year. This spring, she completed her student teaching experience with Mrs. Rakers in TK, where she learned from one of the very best how to bring learning to life in engaging and meaningful ways for students.

Brooke has a true passion for working with young children and has shared that passion through her work at Building Blocks Daycare. Her caring personality, enthusiasm for education, and dedication to learning and growing with her students will make her a wonderful addition to our Bulldog family.

We are excited for our students and families to get to know Miss Zurliene and look forward to the positive impact she will have on our school community.

Please join us in congratulating Jayln Hoormann as she transitions into her new teaching role at GES.

Miss Hoormann is already a familiar face at GES, having completed her student teaching last fall with Mrs. Peppenhorst. Following her student teaching experience, she was hired as a kindergarten and RtI paraprofessional to help finish out the school year.

In addition to her passion for education, Miss Hoormann knows the value of dedication and hard work. She was a member of the 2026 McKendree University D2 Small Coed National Championship Cheer Squad, an accomplishment that reflects her commitment, teamwork, and perseverance.

We are excited to see Miss Hoormann begin this next chapter as a second grade teacher at GES and look forward to seeing the positive impact she will have on our school community.
