Beginning tomorrow, Village of Germantown DPW crews will be replacing a failing storm water cross culvert on Indian Parkway.

Due to the significant amount of water conveyed through the northern ditch, this project is expected to take the remainder of the week to complete. During construction, a section of Indian Parkway will be under a full road closure and will be impassable for much of the project duration.

Please plan accordingly and use alternate routes if traveling in the area.

We appreciate everyone’s patience and understanding as we complete these necessary infrastructure repairs to help maintain safe and reliable storm water systems within the Village.

We will provide an update once the culvert replacement is complete and the roadway has reopened.

If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to reach out.

ABOUT THE IMAGE:
The attached image shows the cross culvert to be repaired (circled in red). A section of Indian Parkway will be under a full closure during the project and will be impassable much of the time. The closure is reflected on the map and is identifiable between the orange lines.

On Wednesday, 5/20/26, several members of the Germantown Department of Public Works staff participated in the “Light the Hoan” event in honor of National Public Works Week.

It was an honor to participate alongside other agencies from the greater Milwaukee Metro area and be recognized for the important role public works professionals perform every single day. From maintaining roads and infrastructure to supporting public safety during all seasons, our DPW staff works hard behind the scenes to keep our community running smoothly.

Thank you to our Germantown DPW team for your dedication, service, and commitment to the Village of Germantown!
