🚨UPDATE- THE TORNADO SIREN IN HILLCREST HAS BEEN REPAIRED!

📢 Community Update – Hillcrest Tornado Siren

We are aware that the Hillcrest tornado siren did not activate last night during the severe weather event.
The siren functioned normally during the scheduled monthly tornado test earlier this month. We currently have a call in to determine what occurred and to ensure the issue is corrected as quickly as possible.
As a reminder, outdoor warning sirens are designed to alert people who are outdoors during severe weather events. They should not be relied upon as your only means of receiving weather alerts, especially if you are indoors or sleeping.
Please stay weather aware by enabling emergency alerts on your mobile device, using a NOAA weather radio, local weather apps, or other indoor alerting methods.

Thank you for your patience as we work to gather more information and address the issue.
